Board of Directors' Action on Iraq

At its semi-annual Board meeting on October 20, 2002 the CTSA Board took the following action (see below). President Jon Nilson will communicate by letter the following statement to President George W. Bush.

The Board of Directors of the Catholic Theological Society of America stands in solidarity with Bishop Wilton Gregory and our bishops in their September 18, 2002 letter to President Bush against possible military action against Saddam Hussein.We urge the President and his advisors to take Bishop Gregory’s words with the utmost seriousness.
