The Hans Urs von Balthasar Consultation

Administrative Team:
     Barbara Sain (Convener)
     Danielle Nussberger
     Mark Yenson
     Nicholas J. Healy

Convention Theme: Justice and Mercy

Session Description:
The Hans Urs von Balthasar Consultation invites proposals for its session at the 2016 convention. The consultation welcomes any proposals related to the conference theme, "Justice and Mercy." All proposals, including those dealing with von Balthasar's thought on any other themes, are welcome and will be reviewed by the conveners (Nicholas Healy, Danielle Nussberger, Barbara Sain, and Mark Yenson). Proposals from younger members of CTSA are encouraged. Proposals should include a précis (100 words) of the paper, the presenter's institution and contact information, and a description of any audio-visual needs. 200-500 word proposals can be submitted to Barbara Sain by email (bksain@stthomas.edu) on or before September 1, 2015. All who submit a proposal will receive a reply by September 14 indicating whether the proposal is accepted.

CTSA guidelines require that those making proposals ordinarily be Active or Associate members of the Society in good standing with their dues current. Anyone with an associate or full membership application on file can also submit a proposal if they expect to be accepted for membership in the upcoming June convention. No member may present a paper/respond to a paper/participate on a panel more than once at a given convention. An exception is made for members of under‐represented groups, not including presentations made to the Women’s Consultation on Constructive Theology. A new CTSA rule stipulates that a member may not present more than two years in a row.
