Assistant Professor of Theology

Dominican University, a Hispanic serving institution, invites applications for a full-time, tenure- track position in Theology at the Assistant Professor level beginning in fall 2014, with an emphasis in Hispanic or Latino/a Theology. Preference will be given to candidates who also have the capacity to teach in one or more of the following areas: pastoral ministry, ethical and social issues, women and religion, and comparative theology.
Teaching load is 3/3 and includes opportunities to work with undergraduates preparing for ministry, to participate in the Latin American and Latino Studies minor, and to teach in the interdisciplinary seminar programs which lie at the heart of the University’s undergraduate core curriculum.
PhD or DMin preferred, ABD considered.
Successful candidates will be expected to support the university’s Catholic Dominican mission, and demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship.
