Full-time Director, Center for Spirtuality

Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN, seeks a dynamic and creative full-time Director for its Center for Spirituality, a nationally recognized center of distinction, situated in a strongly supportive academic setting. Now in its 28th year, the Center fosters an academic climate for the study of spirituality, developing and facilitating programs, activities and projects that engage the College and civic community in fruitful dialogue and in theologically grounded praxis. Grounded in the tradition of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, the Center fosters engagement with the multi-faceted nature of spirituality and cross-disciplinary inquiry, reminding the College and others that the life of the mind and the life of the spirit are intimately connected and mutually enriching.

Candidates will be Roman Catholic with a doctoral degree in theology/spirituality or related fields; a demonstrated excellence in academic leadership, critical thinking and a familiarity with current issues in spirituality/theology; experience with donor/financial development; and an ability to develop a robust network of academic as well as other professional colleagues and prospective lecturers.
