Open Rank, Tenure-Track Position
in Comparative or Interreligious Theology

The UNIVERSITY OF SAN DIEGO announces an open rank, tenure-track position in comparative or interreligious theology. The ideal candidate will have a broad training in Christian theology as well as significant graduate-level training in at least one other religious tradition. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory theology courses as well as upper-division courses in her or his area(s) of specialization, covering topics such as comparative theology, religious pluralism, inter-religious dialogue, and world Christianities. Applications from both junior and senior scholars are welcome. The department is strongly committed to diversity and especially encourages applications from ethnic minorities and members of other underrepresented groups.
Applicants should hold a doctorate by the time of the appointment, September 2013. Commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and an active scholarly agenda are expected.
