Assistant Professor of Catholic Moral Theology, Tenure-Track

The Department of Theology and Religious Studies at Seattle University invites applications
for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Christian ethics in the Catholic theological tradition
beginning September 2014.
Responsibilities include teaching courses in the major and the university core, with potential
opportunities to teach in the graduate School of Theology and Ministry. The successful
candidate will also be expected to develop and maintain an active, high quality program of research/
scholarship, engage in program and university service activities, and promote interdisciplinary
dialogue within the university and the surrounding community. Candidates who can
contribute to interdisciplinary programs in Catholic Studies and Women and Gender Studies
are encouraged to apply.
Required qualifications: Ph.D.; teaching competence in Catholic social teaching and Catholic
moral theology; demonstrated or potential excellence in teaching and scholarship.
