Tenure-track position at rank of Assistant Professor in Theological Ethics

Saint Louis University, a Jesuit Catholic institution dedicated to education, research, healthcare and service, seeks applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Theological Ethics within the Department of Theological Studies, beginning August 2014. Candidates should be well-versed in the Roman Catholic moral tradition, and should possess an active research agenda in one or more areas within the discipline that complements existing faculty strengths. They should be prepared to teach the basic undergraduate course on the Christian Moral Life as well as upper level courses in their more applied area(s) of interest. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or equivalent in hand by the starting date for this appointment. She or he should also be committed to undergraduate teaching and mentoring that supports the university’s core and departmental major/minor programs, and should be able to offer graduate instruction and mentoring at the M.A. level. Standard departmental teaching load is 2/2. Candidates, regardless of their own faith tradition, must be supportive of the Catholic and Jesuit ideals of the university.
