One Year Visiting Professor, Specialization Open, New Testament Preferred

St. Mary's University, Department of Theology, in San Antonio, Texas, invites applications for a one year visiting professor beginning Fall 2012. Specialization is open but New Testament is preferred. The department seeks candidates willing to teach in the University’s core curriculum and engage theological interpretations of Scripture. The ordinary course load is 12 hours per semester at the undergraduate level. Because of the University’s Catholic commitments, candidates should preferably be Catholic, grounded in the Catholic Church’s theological tradition. A completed Ph.D. from a Catholic institution is preferred, and candidates will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence. St. Mary’s University especially encourages applications from women, Hispanic, and other minority candidates.
