Monsignor Frederick R. McManus, an internationally known canon law expert in the Catholic Church, was acclaimed for his contributions to the Second Vatican Council's constitution on the liturgical changes in the Mass -- including the transition from Latin to English.
Monsignor McManus died Sunday, November 27, 2005, at Massachusetts General Hospital of heart failure. He was 82.
