Call for Papers:

The Hans Urs von Balthasar Consultation invites proposals for its session at the 2011 convention.  In keeping with the conference theme, "All the Saints," the coordinators are interested in proposals that treat the relation of theology and holiness in the Catholic tradition and in von Balthasar's theology.  Also of interest would be proposals focusing on individuals within the tradition, especially those whose lives and ideas are highlighted by von Balthasar.  All proposals, including those dealing with von Balthasar's thought on any other themes, are welcome and will be reviewed by the conveners.  Proposals from younger members of CTSA are encouraged.

Proposals should be between 200-500 words and include the author’s name, institution, and contact information.  The deadline for submission is September 1, 2010.  Notification of acceptance for presentation will be given by September 24, 2010.  A maximum of three papers will be selected for the session.  Please articulate in the proposal any audio-visual support required.  Authors of accepted papers must submit a 100 word précis by October 6.  Recall that CTSA policy limits presenters to one speaking role on the convention program.  Please send proposals to Barbara Sain by email at bksain@stthomas.edu.
